August Dive with Facility Finals

Pooch Pool School's August Dive with Facility Finals!  Open to dogs of any breed, any experience level and any distances! All jumping dogs can attend a Facility Finals Event!

We are an outdoor facility located on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC.  We have porta-potties on site. Dry camping available. Message to reserve at info@poochpoolschool.ca

-PLEASE keep your dogs leashed, at least 8ft from other dogs and please clean up after them and use designated potty areas. Males please use the Pee Tree and not items or structures at the facility.

-Parking: Watch for volunteers directing parking areas

-Please CHECK-IN at the office trailer

-A NADD registration is required to enter. Please REGISTER HERE for a NADD# ($35 U.S.)

-Splashes include up to 3 minutes on the dock for one optional practice jump and two judged jumps. You must inform the judge prior to the first jump if you want it to be considered a practice jump.

-Each distance jumping Splash allows two judged jumps, back to back. The longest jump of them will be your Qualifying Score.

-You can earn a Diving Dog Title You must have 5 Qualifying Scores within a Division for a Title. NADD Titles are recognized by CKC and AKC recognition programs. View their applications here (AKC) and here (CKC).

 -Please read the official 2024 NADD rules here before you attend the Trial.

-Try-Its at this Event. Try-Its cost $15 Sign-up sheet at registration desk.  $15 for 6 minutes, may be used in two 3-minute turns as time allows between splashes.

 Check-in is open one hour before the first splash, crate set-up at your vehicle. Bring your shade cloths.

-Please note that if any pre-entries are not paid for on your first day entered, they will be removed from the Splash and sold as day-of-entry price even if you want to pay for them later.

-We will have on-site Registration as long as we have space in our Splashes available, as well as Try-Its as time allows.

-Day of Registration will be allowed each day on the day you wish to jump until there is no space.

-Air Retrieve will have day of spots but we will not have a waitlist once pre-registration fills. All spots are on a first come basis.

Results and Awards

Jump results are available in your NADD Portal.

Qualifying ribbons are awarded for each qualifying jump, and Rosettes for each Title earned.

Ribbons will be available for pick up at the registration desk once the Splash is completed and scores are entered.

Please pick up your ribbon before leaving. Any unclaimed ribbons are not kept after event closes.

Dogs on leash, clean up after them and keep 8 feet apart between unfamiliar dogs. Males use the "pee trees". Females in season will not be allowed to compete or allowed on the grounds.

Most important rule: Please encourage, praise, play and have Fun With Your Dog!

INDEPENDENT EVENT FINALS

• This event will have an independent Facility Finals. The finals will not count towards NADD jumps (averages, rankings, etc).
• Each facility will determine how many dogs will make the Finals and the awards to be given, if any.
• At least 3 jumps are required to participate in independent event finals.

INDEPENDENT FACILITY FINALS (SATURDAY, AUGUST 17th, 2024)

Following the NADD Event Saturday - Pooch Pol School's Independent Event Finals.

-Dogs must have a minimum of 3 Splashes over three-days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) in order to participate.

-Each dog will have the ability to jump twice, the highest score will count as your Finals Score.  No practice jump will be allowed.

-If there is a tie resulting, each dog that is tied will jump once more to break the tie.

-If a dog that is in the Top 5 of its' division chooses not to stay for the Finals, the invite will roll down.

-This event has Finals for the Top 5 dogs in each division (Open Class Only).

-Finals will run at the end of the scheduled events on Saturday and will be followed by an awards presentation.

Please plan to stay for the Finals to compete or cheer on your friends!
