Registration

  • Online registration closes 09/22/2023 at midnight (CDT).
  • Pre-registration (online) price per splash for this event is $25.00 (USD) per dog. Payment is due upon check-in.
  • Splashes can be purchased on-site the day of the event for $30.00 (USD) per dog.
  • Payment is required at check-in for all pre-registered splashes. Refunds will not be issued if you fail to show up for your turn.

Event Notes

  • A NADD Registration Number is required to enter, purchase here for $35.00.
  • Splashes include up to three minutes on the dock for one optional practice jump and two judged jumps. You must inform the judge prior to your jump if you want it to be considered a "practice jump".
  • This event is an Open Splash event. This is done at Portable Dock trials and other shows that have timing conflicts with other dog events. The time for each splash for the day will be set such as 9am for example for all the splashes. You have between the posted start time and end time (either before AR starts or the end of the last day, usually 3pm) to complete your splashes for the day. When you check in you will be handed “Splash Cards” for each splash that you pay for. When you are ready to jump during the day, hand a splash card to the wrangler to get put into the running order. It is the handler's responsibility to be sure to be present it before their turn to jump. Please be aware that at many events, the running order board fills very quickly and early in the day.
  • Please Note: You must pay for all pre registered splashes at time of check-in. Any splashes not paid for will be put back into the event's on-site registration availability list and result in a no-show. If you are registering multiple dogs there will be a no-show for each dog. You are responsible for all pre-registered splashes.
  • Each distance jumping Splash allows 2 judged jumps, back to back. The longest jump of them will be your Qualifying Score.
  • You can earn a Diving Dog Title at this event. You must have five Qualifying Scores within a Division. NADD titles are recognized by the AKC and CKC through their recognition programs. View their applications here (AKC) and here (CKC).
  • Please read the official NADD Rules before you attend the Trial.

Try-its at this event

  • Try-its will be allowed as space permits and during Splashes if no competitors are waiting to jump. Try-its cost $10.00.

There will not be a Fun Finals at this event. 

One Lucky Dog will be chosen by drawing to get their entries for free!

 

We have not yet received the Atlas bumpers so we will use the Nerf bumpers for this event. 

 

Registration, Check-In and Payment

  • This event is an Open Splash event, the same way that is done at Portable Dock trials/clusters.
    • The time for each splash for the day will be set at the daily starting time.
    • You have between the posted daily start and end times to complete your splashes for the day.
    • When you check in you will be handed “Splash Cards” for each splash that you pay for (no cards for AR/HD as they are at a set time). 
    • Hand your splash card(s) to the 'wrangler' to get put on the running order board, listed by hour (first come, first pick). Please be aware that at many events, the running order board fills very quickly and early in the day.
    • You can do 2 splashes within an hour time slot, up to 4 splashes per day, plus a specialty.
    • It is the handler's responsibility to be present before their turn to jump. 
  • Pre-registration is recommended, but we will accept Day Of entries provided there are spots available. All spots are on a first come basis, as this is the fairest for everyone.
  • You can Pre-pay per NADD guidelines, but it is not required. We will accept PayPal, credit card, cash or check at check in.
  • Per NADD rules, all cancellations must be done no less than 14 days before the event starts. ALL preregistered splashes must be paid for at check in. If changes need to be made, we can move splashes around to a different day, but they cannot be removed once registration closes. A competitor can choose to pay for all the splashes they entered and scratch without incurring a no-show.
  • Check-in starts 1 hour before the first splash each day. 
  • Splash check-in will close 1/2 hour before each splash begins. 
  • Be sure to sign all necessary waivers at check in.

 

Run Orders and Ribbons

  • This event is an Open Splash event. The time for each splash for Friday will be set at 11:00 am and Saturday/Sunday will be set at 9:00 am for all of the splashes. On Friday you have between 11:00 am and 4 pm to complete your splashes for the day. On Saturday/Sunday, you have between 9:00 am and 4 pm to complete your splashes for the day. If distance splashes are not done before AR/HD start they will be finished after AR/HD. This means you do NOT have to be there Friday at 11: am or Saturday/Sunday at 9:00 am; You can come later in the day, but you must be checked in by 2:30 pm and on the board by 3 pm. 
  • It is your responsibility to read and follow NADD and Run Jump Splash Facility Rules
  • Our 21x50 regulation pool will open for practice 1 hour before the first splash each day. Competitor dogs can also “get wet” in our 13x25 pool any time during the day, taking turns with other competitors and Try-It dogs.
  • You will be responsible to pick up your own Blue qualifying ribbons at a designated station.
  • Specialty Ribbons will be available as soon as possible as scores are entered and double checked.

 

Try-its

Run Jump Splash has a 13x25 pool available for Try-its.

Try-its cost $10.00 per day (5 minutes on the dock each time).

  

Basic Facility Rules

  • All dogs must be leashed when on the premises (except when on the dock). No flexi/retractable leashes are permitted.
  • Please pick up after yourselves and your dogs and dispose of poop in our outdoor waste containers. Please leave the grounds as you found them!
  • Bring your own towels, crates and chairs. You can crate out of your car in designated areas or bring an EZ-up for setup in our grassy areas.
  • Please communicate all problems, concerns or issues you have with the staff, the facility, or any of the handlers and their dogs immediately as they occur. We want to address and solve problems in real time during the trial.  There is no way to correct it if you mention it to us or NADD after the event is over.
  • Don't hesitate to talk with us! We want you to have the best possible experience at Run Jump Splash!

 

On-Site Camping

  • We have two 50-amp and three 30-amp camping spots available (no water or sewer) for $25 per night. Call us to pre-pay/reserve or get on the waiting list. We will refund if you cancel before event pre-registration ends.
  • We have unlimited dry camping available for $10 per night. No pre-pay or reservations are required, and generators are welcome in specific areas.

Pet Friendly Hotels/Airbnb’s

Our Facility is near a ski resort in Paoli and a casino in French Lick and many hotels and Airbnb's accept pets.

The Super 8 in Bedford offers a discount to Run Jump Splash competitors. You must book directly through them; rooms are limited.

The Hampton Inn in Bedford also allows up to 2 dogs per room but there is a pet fee.
