Other Notes

Please sign the Covid-19 waiver by visiting https://northamericadivingdogs.com/content/view/cmsid/84/NADD_Event_waivers_for_May_2020_events

Our social distancing plan will be set up as follows:

  1. Upon entry, participants will receive name tags as they enter the sport’s complex, we will only be able to accommodate competitors during our first event and not spectators due to Covid 19. We love having spectators but we feel we have to limit ourselves to competitors at this time. Participants and their families will be directed and monitored for social distancing, parking, and setting up. All guests will be required to show that they are in possession of a mask, for every guest you will be required to purchase a handmade mask for $5. This money will be donated to the Pointer Rescue. Our administration gazebo will be set up for any check in. We will ask you to stay out of the gazebo, it will be gated. And staff will be there to make this process as easy as possible. Our staff will be gloved and masked, and we expect you to follow mask policy at all times. There will be no exceptions. There will be masks for sale on site.
  2. Waivers- you are encouraged to electronically print out waivers before the event and bring to the event already signed. However, if you are not computer savvy, we will certainly help you on site. These waivers include, the Covid 19 document, the Sunshine Dog Park waiver, and the NADD waiver.
  3. We are allowing pre payment during this time. You can pay through PayPal sunshinedogpark1@gmail.com
  4. Ribbon labels will be pre-printed with someone wearing gloves handling this. We will have a separate station to the left of the administration table. NADD already has a distance limit for dogs so this should easily fall into place in the competition area. Areas will be clearly marked. This assures space between easy-up sites and also in car crating.
  5. We will run our event with an open splash criteria. We will be using jump cards instead of set splash start and end times. This will allow us to spread out the competitors for less contact. The standard NADD rule will still apply that a dog may not do more than one splash at a time. There must be at least one other dog between each dog’s splashes.
  6. We will be doing our AR and HD at the end of the day on all three days.
  7. All workers and volunteers have attended our safety seminars and are cognizant on the safest procedures. This includes themselves, the competitors, our dock and surrounding areas. We have several wash stations and we will have appointed staff members to oversee all sanitation stations. This staff member will be responsible to maintain all dock gates being sanitized after each competitor and the dock area itself.
  8. Food will be served, and staff will be hand delivered, and we will follow all sanitation protocols.

Sunshine dog park is here to help, we want to keep you safe, but we want this to be as slamming as our events have always been. HAPPY DIVING!

We are also a training and boarding facility so the entrance for the Diving Dogs will be about 75 feet past the main entrance, but will be very well marked. We have the normal regulation NADD pool and also a 32 feet pool that has a regulation dock. We will be allowing Novice, Juniors, and Seniors to practice in the other pool. If your dog jumps 22 feet+ we recommend the NADD pool. Our pool is heated if the weather requires. We will be having a  lunch at 12 o'clock with all the fixins both days.

Jellystone Campground- 49 Beal Road Elmer, NJ (856) 451-7479 is the closest campground to our facility. It is our intent to have dry camping here. 2019 is our first year so we will know more closer to the date of the event. It will be RESERVATION ONLY
