Registration

  • Online registration closes 07/28/2020 at midnight (CDT).
  • Pre-registration (online) price per splash for this event is $25.00 (CAD) per dog. Payment is due upon check-in.
  • Splashes can be purchased on-site the day of the event for $30.00 (CAD) per dog.
  • Payment is required at check-in for all pre-registered splashes. Refunds will not be issued if you fail to show up for your turn.

Event Notes

  • A NADD Registration Number is required to enter, purchase here for $35.00.
  • Splashes include up to three minutes on the dock for one optional practice jump and two judged jumps. You must inform the judge prior to your jump if you want it to be considered a "practice jump".
  • The jump order is set by a posted running order. Each splash closes 30 minutes prior to start time. Failure to be present at the beginning of the splash can result if the forfeiture of jumping in that splash.
  • Each distance jumping Splash allows 2 judged jumps, back to back. The longest jump of them will be your Qualifying Score.
  • You can earn a Diving Dog Title at this event. You must have five Qualifying Scores within a Division. NADD titles are recognized by the AKC and CKC through their recognition programs. View their applications here (AKC) and here (CKC).
  • Please read the official NADD Rules before you attend the Trial.

Due to COVID - 19 -

Crating must be from your vehicle

No spectators, only those jumping or holding dogs - waivers MUST be signed by everyone on premises

If you are not in a splash you cannot stay on the premises during Covid 

DO NOT SHOW UP any more than 15 min before your splash time, unless it's the first splash - Health Canada COVID event must have gatherings under 50

Only one person per dog entered may be on the property - unless previous arrangements are made.

We have holders for you at our events


Registration and check in opens at 8:30am

Pool/Dock opens for practice : 9:00am

Port a Potties On Site

 

A brief handlers meeting for each splash will start 15 min before the start of each splash. 

 

NO Onsite registrations will be offered.  We do not offer a wait list option.

Facility Notes:

No vehicles over 25' allowed on K9 Pool School grounds

Overnight camping on K9 Pool School private road is prohibited

On site parking only

SLOW DOWN - DRIVE SLOWLY down the driveway

Please respect the neighbors that share our private road.  Do not walk your dogs off leash, do not leave any waste behind.

Please respect a minimum 6' distance between all dogs.

Facility waiver, NADD waiver and COVID 19 waiver must be signed at registration before entering the pool/dock area, you will be given a wrist band for the weekend.

Dogs must be on leash at all times except when on the dock.

No retractable leashes permitted on the property.

Treats or food are not allowed in the pool area or on the dock.

Pushing or shoving of dogs into pool is strictly forbidden.

Prong collars, choke chains, remote collars, and harnesses must be removed at the bottom of the stairs.

Please notify staff if your dog eliminates in the pool area or on the dock for appropriate cleaning and sanitizing.

Please pick up after your dogs inside the grounds and outside the grounds, if you do not you will be asked to leave and NO refunds will be given, garbage cans will be provided for disposal.

Practice jumps are allowed in between splashes as time permits, starting with try-it dogs first.

Please communicate all problems, all concerns, and issues  you have with the staff, the facility or any of the handlers and their dogs immediately as they occur, we want to address problems in the real time to solve it during the event.  There is no way to correct it if you mention it to us or NADD after the event is over.

Most of all HAVE FUN with your dog!

We are very excited to start this season off with a bang for K9 Pool School and it's new family. 

Get that Hair or Hat out to come enjoy, prizes will be awarded to all the dogs and their humans that participate over the weekend.

K9 Pool School Covid Event Plan 2020

 

  1. Limiting number of entries per splash, no day of sign ups, must be pre-registered
  2. Payment must be done by no contact – credit/debit on site or prior arrangements can be made for credit card, e-transfer preferred to K9poolschool@gmail.com, use password POOL
  3. Porta Potties come with hand sanitizer stations, door handles will be wiped down after each splash ends with bleach
  4. Crating only in vehicles in designated areas
  5. No spectators or guests that are not participating
  6. Every Person on property MUST sign a C-19 waiver, all waivers will be emailed prior to event for competitors to print, sign and bring with them to hand in, also available on our website www.k9poolschool.com
  7. Maintain a 6’ distance between all competitors, judges, admin
  8. 4 - Hand Sanitizer stations set up throughout the property clearly marked
  9. Hand Sanitizer wipes and spray will be available to you as you approach the dock, please use these to open all gates, waste receptacles provided on the dock, bottom of each set of stairs
  10. After each splash is complete we will do a complete wipe down with bleach of all metal surfaces
  11. Gloves and masks will be provided for all volunteers
  12. 6’ walk ways around the pool will be cordoned off for competitors
  13. Judge and admin will have a 6’ barrier between them and all competitors
  14. Ribbons will be safely put in Alphabetical order near the admin table, you will only need to touch yours and hand sanitizer will be provided prior to touching
