Brown Dog University's Labor Day Splash

This event will be run with a special format that meets  CDC and Washington State COVID recommendations. 

Only pre-registered teams may attend this event.  This trial will not be open to public spectators.

COVID PLAN:

• Registration will close 1 week early,  for us to schedule time slots with groups of 10 dogs. We will send this running order and the time of your scheduled time slot by email prior to the trial.  *Please note that your regularly scheduled splash times are irrelevant to you scheduled jump time due to required state business COVID regulations. 
• Each competitor will receive an invoice to your registered NADD email for pre-payment of their registrations.    There will be no add on splashes for this event. 
• Our usual BBQ will not be available. 
• Competitors will need to crate out of their vehicles for this event.
• Masks when entering the property of BDU are a current state requirement.   BDU property includes the private road for parking. When you are on the dock alone with your dog, or you are away from people, you may remove your mask.  Six acres is PLENTY of room to spread out! 
• Hand gel is available throughout the grounds, along with an outdoor sink with running water and soap for hand washing.
• Volunteers will be handing you a chlorox wipe to wipe dock gates between each competitor entering and exiting through the gates.
• Ribbons can be picked up after your jumps at the ribbon tent next to the announcer tent.
• Once you have finished your jumps and/or your dog's therapy session with Fit Woof... Please leave.  We love seeing you and your dogs; and have missed you too!  But please do not linger  or congregate in groups.   

Our goal is to make our trial environment as safe as possible for all of our dog handlers, volunteers, and judges.  If you have any concerns during this special event, please bring it to BDU staff directly at the time of occurrence, or reach out to us directly by email before or after the event: Browndoguniversity@gmail.com

Facility Rules

• No vehicles over 25’ allowed on BDU private road for parking.
• Overnight camping on BDU private road prohibited
• Please respect the three dog loving neighbors that share our private road.  Do not walk your dogs, leave poop or trash behind, or let dogs run off leash on neighboring rural properties or down their private driveways at any time.  
• Facility waiver, NADD waiver, & Covid waiver must be signed at registration before entering the pool/dock area.
• Dogs must be on leash at all times except when on the dock.
• No retractable leashes permitted on the property.
• Treats or food are not allowed in the pool area or on the dock.
• Pushing or shoving of dogs into the pool are strictly forbidden.
• Prong collars, choke chains, remote collars, and harnesses must be removed at the top of the entrance ramp before stepping onto the dock.
• Please notify staff if your dog eliminates in the pool area or on the dock for appropriate cleaning and sanitizing.
• Please pick up after your dogs. If you don’t follow this rule you will be asked to leave and NO refunds will be given. 
• Disposal of poop should be in compost waste containers. We provide compostable bags and/or scoops, and poop compost bins in several locations.
• Please communicate all problems, all concerns, and issues you have with the staff, the facility or any of the handlers and their dogs immediately as they occur, we want to address problems in real time to solve it during the event. There is no way to correct it if you mention it to us or NADD after the event is over.
• So please!!! do not hesitate to talk to us! We want you to have the best possible dock diving experience at Brown Dog University!
