Event Notes
- A NADD Registration Number is required to enter, purchase here for $35.00.
- Splashes include up to three minutes on the dock for one optional practice jump and two judged jumps. You must inform the judge prior to your jump if you want it to be considered a "practice jump".
- The jump order is set by a posted running order. Each splash closes 30 minutes prior to start time. Failure to be present at the beginning of the splash can result if the forfeiture of jumping in that splash.
- Each distance jumping Splash allows 2 judged jumps, back to back. The longest jump of them will be your Qualifying Score.
- You can earn a Diving Dog Title at this event. You must have five Qualifying Scores within a Division. NADD titles are recognized by the AKC and CKC through their recognition programs. View their applications here (AKC) and here (CKC).
- Please read the official NADD Rules before you attend the Trial.
NADD Regionals Qualifier
- In order to qualify for Distance Jump, each dog must have a minimum of three DJ splashes completed at this event. We then take the average of the top three jumps from the event for each dog. Only the top 3 dogs in each division will receive an automatic Distance Jump invite to the Regionals.
- Jumps in all the Splashes will count towards your NADD/AKC titles.
- The Air Retrieve and Hydro Dash qualifier will be based on the highest score achieved at the event. In both Open & Lap, the Top 3 Finishers for each division will earn invites.

Driveway Gate:
Entering: Our driveway has an electronic gate. The key pad is on the left side (driver's side) when entering. The Code is 1, 2, 3, 4. The Code is also written on the key pad.
Exiting: The gate should open automatically for you. If it does not open there is a read box on the left side of the driveway that has a remote control in it which has always worked. Just point it towards the gate, push the button and return the remote to the box.
Loading and Unloading: The area in front of the gate to the pool area is for loading and unloading only.
Parking: There are plenty of parking spaces. Please park next to a car that is already parked so we can maximize the amount of cars that can park close to the pool area. Do not park in front of the Kennel Office door or to the right of the door. Those spaces are for kennel customers. You may park to the left of the kennel door.
All dog must be on leash at all times except when inside the pool fencing or fenced potty area.
Bring a canopy for shade, ground is dirt.
Covered Agility Area. You may set-up in the agility area, it is definitely cooler than under a canopy. Do not use any of the agility equipment. Anyone using the agility equipment will be asked to leave immediately.
THE 12 ACRES THAT THE POOL IS ON IS NOT COMPLETELY FENCED IN.
Food: In our area it is very hard to find food trucks that will come to a facility with only 35-40 competitors attending, and not everyone buys food. So plan on bringing food, snacks, drinks. We do not have fast food restaurants close by. There is a Chevron station within a half-mile of us, and in Huachuca City (10 minute drive south of us) are a Circle K, and 3 restaurants. Sierra Vista has plenty of fast food, chain restaurants, etc.
Food that will be available for a donation to stop the Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China. For this festival they torture the dogs to death (skinning while alive, boiling them in hot water, smashing their heads in, hacking off limbs all while the dog is alive). Their belief is that the more pain and terror the dog is in when it dies the tastier the meat will be. I understand that in certain cultures it is acceptable to eat dog meat, although I wish they wouldn't. I am against the torture the dogs are put through for this "Festival" that started just 11 years ago.
On Saturday we will have turkey or ham sandwiches available with chips.
On Sunday we will have pizza.
