Requirements:

Invites to The National Championship will be available for Nationals in the following order: 

• Top 3 dogs in each division from the 2025 National Championship ***
• Top  5 dogs in each division from the 2026 FCQ *** 
• 2026 Top 3 Regionals Placements in each division
• Top 10 overall rankings in each division***
• Top 10% over all Regionals by division* (Open, Lap & Veteran)
• We will continue to add additional 5% until registration fills.

   

*top % of each division is based on their best Regionals final score. 

***Must attend a regionals to except an invite

      

ALL invites (including LCQ) must have a minimum of 15/5/5 splashes to accept their National Championship  invite. Invites earned at the LCQ do NOT require attending a regionals. 

 

Jumping – Division placement for the National Championship will be determined by the dogs season average at the end of the 2026 season.

 

Registering for National Championships

• Registration for National Championship will be done in a tiered manner this year.
  • 8/24/26 – Registration for Nationals will open for dogs that have already earned a Nationals invite **
    • 2025 National Championship top 3 placements
    • 2026 FCQ top 5 placements
    • 2026 Regionals Top 3 placements
    • Guaranteed spot if registered BEFORE 9/9.You may register after this date but once we open spots to the top 10% by division your spot is no longer guaranteed . 
  • 9/9/26 –Division Top 10 and Top 10% from Regionals

    Registration opens for dogs ranked in the 2026 Top 10 of their division, and invitations will begin rolling out to the Top 10% in each division across all Regionals combined. This includes Open, Lap and Veteran divisions.

    Dogs receiving an invitation must register by September 14 to guarantee their spot. You may register after this date but once we open spots to additional 5% by division your spot is no longer guaranteed. 

  • 9/15/26 –Additional Invitations

    If space remains, invitations will be extended to an additional 5% of dogs in each division. Additional percentage groups may continue to be invited every few days until the National Championship fills.

    We will announce the final registration closing date as we get closer to filling Nationals.

    ⚠️ Once additional invitations begin, all remaining spaces are
    subject to availability. Receiving an invitation does not reserve a spot—you must complete and pay for your registration through the NADD Portal.

    Prepayment and Withdrawal Policy

    Nationals is a prepaid event. Because of the extensive preparation and planning required for an event of this size, refunds are available only for medical withdrawals supported by an official Veterinarian’s or Doctor’s note.

    The final deadline for all withdrawal requests and supporting documentation is October 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. CST. Documentation must be emailed to ops@northamericadivingdogs.com.

    No refunds will be issued after this deadline. Administrative and credit card processing fees are nonrefundable.

October 22 – Nationals Distance Splash #1, Nationals Hydro Dash

October 23 – National Distance Splash #2, Nationals Air Retrieve

October 24 – Finals, JR Handler Championship, Awards Ceremony
October 25 – 2027 First Chance Qualifier

 

Finals – you must have a successful score at Nationals to be invited back to finals.
You must have a successful score in finals to place in top 10. No practice in finals

 

Junior Handlers 

Junior handlers will jump on Saturday. Placements will be given for the top 5 Jr. Handlers.

Awards

After Finals is finished and scores are double checked on Saturday. (usually around 5pm, but no promises)  

 

Accommodations:

Camping : There is a number of camping spots available at the event site.  Registration will open September 1st. Cost per site is approximately $35-55 depending on the site type and amenities.   Call 417 – 833 – 2660  to reserve.  The fairgrounds handles these reservations independently of NADD. The only way to reserve is through them.
