Requirements

These requirements are for all dogs.

  • An invite is to the dog. It is not handler or owner-specific.
  • The division that the dog will compete in at the National Championships will be based on:
    • Open (Lap and Veteran) Each dog’s Seasons average (minimum 10 jumps, average of Top 10) for the current year, as calculated by NADD’s calendar (Oct 16th 2019 until Sept 15th, 2020). We will not offer appeals this year. Whatever your dog’s average is on the last dy of the season, is the division they will compete in.
    • AR/HD (Open of Lap) Each dog’s Season average (minimum 5 jumps, average of Top 5. Also, if the Top 5 jumps are at the split of a division, then the division with them most jumps will be the assigned division) for the current year, as calculated by NADD’s calendar (Oct 16th 2019 until Oct 15th, 2020). We will not offer appeals this year. Whatever your dog’s average is on the last day of the season, is the division they will compete in.
  • To accept an invite (see above criteria for each type of invite) and enter the NADD/AKC/Eukanuba National Championships, a dog must have jumped the required number of splashes (15 for Open, Lap and Veteran, 5 for AR/HD) for each type of invite during the current year. Acceptance and entry information will be available Oct 2020.
  • Any lap dog that earns an invite, MUST have been verified by height on or before the last day of the current season. If not, they will be required to be measured at Nationals (Regions, for 2020) and if found 16 or over, will be moved into the coinciding Open divison.
  • Invites will be sent and accepted in the portal, it is the handlers responsibly to be sure that NADD has a current and active email. This can be done through the member portal.

NADD reserves the right to amend these requirements & rules at any time. If we do, we will make public notification to the webpage and on the NADD Facebook page.
