2019 NADD/AKC National Championships

National Championship SPECIFIC rules:

•  Distance:
  • Each dog can compete only during the times assigned to their division unless a conflict was pre-approved.
  • The run order will be by dogs call name Z-A
  • Each dog will have 3 minutes for 2 competing jumps. (No practice jumps)
• Air Retrieve
  • Each dog can compete only during the times assigned to their division unless a conflict was pre-approved.
  • The run order will be by dogs call name Z-A
  • Each dog will have 45 seconds per attempt and may only take one 30 second time out per entire turn. (No practice jumps)
  • Dog may not start lower than 1 foot below the division they are competing in.
• Practice tickets
  • Each dog will get ONE designated practice ticket for each event they are entered.
  • Dogs that are checked in before Friday MUST use their ticket before Friday.
  • Dogs that are entered in Santa Splashes, must use their tickets before Friday.
• Designated Practice times
  • Tue-Thur:
    • After the completion of the Santa Splashes, one pool will open for distance, the other for AR. They will remain open until 8 pm each night. These will be 2 jump practice sessions or 3 minutes, whichever comes first.
  • Friday Open Distance Practice ONLY:
    • IF, AR finishes in time, ONLY dogs that HAVE not been of the dock at some point will be allowed to practice Friday night. This will be a very short, limited practice time. These will be 2 jump practice sessions or 2 minutes, whichever comes first.
  • Saturday Morning Practice:
    • Both docks will open at 7 am and will be limited to dog that have not been off the dock at all. As the event must start on time, this will be a very limited practice session. These will be 2 jump practice sessions or 2 minutes, whichever comes first.
  • Saturday Evening practice:
    • There will NOT be practice Saturday evening after the completion of the event.
  • Sunday morning practice:
    • All Veteran and Lap dogs will be able to practice from 8 am to 10 am on both pools. Priority goes to dogs that have not been off the dock yet.
    • These will be 2 jump practice sessions or 3 minutes, whichever comes first.

This event is also a qualifying event for the 2020 national championships the top three dogs in each division will receive an invite to the 2020 championships
