2023 Nationals Scoring Finals and CAP System
Finals
Distance
- Top 15 dogs in each division will be invited back for finals.
- Finals will include 2 attempts (2 min) to get your longest distance.
- Top 10 will earn placements based on your finals score.
Air Retrieve
- Top 15 dogs in each division will be invited back for finals.
- You many start no less then 1 ft below your Nationals score.
- You are finished after 2 misses or 3 totals attempts.
- Top 10 will earn placements based on your finals score
Hydro Dash
- Top 15 dogs in each division will be invited back for finals.
- Two attempts to get your fastest score.
- Top 10 will earn placements based on your finals score
The Final rankings for each division will be based on the finals score only.
CAP System
For each division there will be a CAP to prevent dogs from jumping way over their assigned division. As we are well aware that in a Championship, we all want our dogs to have their best jumps, the CAP will allow for each division to be expanded.
IF a dog jumps out of the expanded division, on any of the jumps, (this includes finals), their score will be moved up to the appropriate division. IF the dogs scores allow it to compete for the Top 10 in the upper division, then the dogs scores will be calculated within that division and they will be ranked accordingly.
Distance cap: Dogs can jump up to 12' into the next division without being moved up.
AR Cap: Dogs can complete a grab up to 1 additional foot into the next division without being moved up.
HD Cap: Dogs HD score can go .500 sec into the next division up without changing their division.
