  6. How did I get a title? In a Splash you get 2 jumps. The best of the two is your qualifying jump.  You must get 5 qualifying jumps within a division. The distance that your 5 qualifying jumps are in is the title that you have earned.
  7. Questions about Try-It’s ? – Try-It’s are available at all our portable dock events. Some facilities offer the try-it during their trial.  Please contact the facility before hand to see if they are available.   No, you do not have to have a NADD # for the try-it. Each morning you must sign up at the registration booth at the event for the times that Try-It is available.

  11. How do I get my title on my pedigree with AKC? NADD will send you a NADD title certificate in the mail. Along with that it will include the application to fill out for AKC. You must send a copy of the NADD title certificate and $20 to AKC. In return AKC will put the title on your dog and will send you an AKC title certificate.
  12. I do not own an AKC dog? You do not have to have an AKC dog to jump with NADD. NADD is open to all dogs (breed, mixed, unaltered, altered, etc.)   AKC will only recognize titles earned through NADD.
  13. Rankings by Breed – Dogs that jump with NADD are ranked by breed. Your breed must be verified by being registered with AKC as a purebred, Canine Partner, PAL or by another other pure breed registry such as (UKC, CKC, ASCA, BRN#, etc.)   If your dog is NOT registered with a pure breed registry than your dog will be recognized as non-verified. You will be ranked with all the other non-verified breeds.  If your dog is a mixed breed, than your dog will be recognized as a mixed breed with NADD.
  14. Splash Times – We have Facility and Cluster.    Facility is set times for each splash (9am, 10am, etc).  A running order will be created for each splash.  You must be present for each splash.  Cluster is done at Portable Dock trials and other shows that have conflicts with other dog events.  The time for each splash for the day will be set such as 9am for all the splashes.  You have between the posted start time and end time (9am – 4pm) to complete your splashes for the day.  When you check in you will be handed “Splash Cards” for each splash you are entered in.  When you are ready to jump during the day, hand a splash card to the judge and that will create the running order.
